The Best Lead Generation Tool for Freelancers: A User Review

0

I’ve been a digital marketing freelancer for the last 5 years, and the clients that I serve include F&B establishments, small online stores and home bakers. Occasionally, I take on outsourced jobs from digital marketing agencies who can’t cope with their load. As a freelancer in marketing, I am a one-man show and I do all of the jobs by myself, like talking to clients, delivering the work, pitching to potential new clients, generating leads and chasing after unpaid invoices (you’ll be surprised how some clients feel that it’s ok for freelancers to be paid late, but that’s a story for another day). It can be overwhelming to have so much to do, and it often feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. I’ve experienced quite a few breaking moments and it was taking a toll on my mental health. I took some time off to recharge and came back with a plan to seek external help to make my load easier. I was willing to try out anything that can help me out.

One of the most important tasks on my to-do list is generating leads. It’s actually catastrophic for a freelancer like me to have zero leads and potential clients in the pipeline, because that directly affects my earnings. But looking for leads by hand can be time-consuming and tiring. Trust me, I’ve done that. I’ve ever spent hours consolidating a list of small F&B establishments to pitch to them my services (And I live in New York City. Go figure). So I decided that the first thing to do, is to seek help on this. That’s why I was on the lookout for a tool that could help me generate leads more efficiently and affordably.

I learnt about Sendvilla from another freelancer who did some photography work for me previously. I was skeptical of the tool at first because it costs just $9 per month to start. I mean, I’e seen plenty of other tools which costs like 3 to 5 times more. But it didn’t cost me much, I figured it was worth a try. I’m glad I did, because Sendvilla has very much exceeded my expectations.

As someone with no technical background (I came from design school), I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use Sendvilla. It’s user-friendly and gave the leads I needed straight away. Like in a matter of minutes. And this is something that would have taken me hours to do in the past. I liked that there is a location-based feature, so that allowed me to narrow down my search to just businesses in NYC, which is what I’m after.

As a newcomer, what I had to do was to just select the plan which suited me most (I started with the smallest Starter Plan with 50 leads but have since upgraded to a Growth plan which can give me 500 leads per month). What I love most about this is this credit-based system which doesn’t charge me by searches, but by real leads provided. I mean, who wants to pay for searches and get no results eventually right? This was a big plus for me.

I would say I’m satisfied with my decision to try Sendvilla. It’s saved me countless hours of manual lead generation, saved me money, and provided me with a steady stream of high-quality leads. If you’re a freelancer too and looking for an affordable and easy-to-use tool to help you generate leads, I highly recommend giving Sendvilla a try.
